Creative is the new targeting. A structured monthly engine beats a lucky winner every quarter.
When brands plateau on Meta, the problem is almost never the media buying. It is that the account is running the same three creatives it has run for five months.
Concepts, angles, variants
Split creative into three levels. A concept is the format (founder talking head, product demo, customer testimonial). An angle is the argument (saves time, saves money, removes risk). A variant is the execution change (hook, opening frame, caption).
Test at the level that matters
New concepts and angles deserve a dedicated testing campaign with enough budget to reach statistical comfort. Variants can be tested inside an existing winning ad set.
Set a kill rule in advance
Decide before launch what failure looks like — usually three times the target CPA with no purchases. Write it down. The point of the rule is to stop you defending a creative you personally liked.
Ship on a cadence
Eight to sixteen new assets a month is the range where most accounts stop decaying. Below that, fatigue outruns your learning.
The framework matters more than any single ad. A brand that ships sixteen mediocre concepts and scales the two winners will beat a brand waiting for one perfect video.
